To maximize the impact of our contributions, D+H focuses our support on a number of key areas:
Wounded Warrior Project
In the U.S., D+H is proud to support the Wounded Warrior Project whose mission is to raise awareness and provide aid to service members who have been injured during their tour of duty. In an effort to support this noteworthy cause, each year D+H employees forgo exchanging gifts with one another during the holiday season, and instead collect the money they would have spent on purchasing presents, donating all proceeds to the Wounded Warrior Project.
Annual Holiday Food Drive
At D+H, we are committed to the communities in which we work. To support this value, each year during the holiday season, D+H offices across the U.S. participate in a food drive to raise food and money for a variety of community organizations. Each facility selects a local charity to support with its donation. Common recipients include Churches Active in Northside (Cincinnati, OH), The Food Bank (Dayton, OH), Atlanta Community Food Bank (Atlanta, GA), Food Bank of Iowa (Des Moines, IA), Second Harvest Food Bank (Orlando, FL), and Alameda County Food Bank (Pleasanton, CA).
Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women & Babies
In Orlando, Florida, the Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women & Babies has one of the most experienced labor and delivery units in the nation, and is home to one of the largest and most successful neonatal intensive care units in the United States. For years, D+H has hosted an annual charity golf tournament at the renowned Arnold Palmer Bay Hill Golf Club in Orlando to raise money for the hospital. D+H employees and clients participate, and working in conjunction with the Arnold Palmer Medical Center Foundation, we donate 100 percent of the proceeds to this wonderful facility.
