Charter Oak Federal Credit Union Selects Touché® Analyzer™ and Advisory Services to Fuel Growth

Solutions Will Support Credit Union's Deposit Growth Goals

Lake Mary, Florida (February 20, 2009) – Harland Financial Solutions announced today that Charter Oak Federal Credit Union recently implemented its Touché® Analyzer™ MCIF and Advisory Services consulting solutions.

The $600M asset-sized credit union headquartered in Groton, Connecticut, selected Touché Analyzer in part to help achieve its membership and share of wallet objectives. “Our goal is to be the primary financial institution for more of our members and to grow deposits,” said Laurie Cormier, assistant vice president of marketing at Charter Oak Federal Credit Union (FCU).

In addition to using Touché Analyzer in that pursuit, Charter Oak purchased Advisory Services consulting solutions that will provide an analysis of such activities as branch potential relative to each location’s market and the credit union’s best opportunities for cross-selling more products to its existing members. The analysis, which will result in specific strategies, as well as actionable tactical recommendations from Harland Financial Solutions’ consultants, will afford the credit union a set of prioritized projects to be implemented using Touché Analyzer.

“Once the consulting analyses are complete, we expect a concise set of strategic plans and actions that Charter Oak can use in the years ahead to support our objectives and continued success,” Cormier said.

Among Charter Oak’s reasons for selecting Harland Financial Solutions were the company’s staff and the depth of Touché Analyzer’s capabilities. “The professionalism and knowledge of Harland Financial Solutions’ staff was evident throughout the implementation process. They were always prompt and very, very thorough. Now, we often turn to Touché Analyzer to answer questions that come from our ALCO committee and various other departments. Touché Analyzer is continuing to become engrossed in our enterprise-wide decision-making processes,” Cormier stated.

“We look forward to tracking Charter Oak’s growth in the coming years as an example of how Harland Financial Solutions can partner with its financial institution clients from the earliest stages of strategy formulation through tactical implementation,” said Denise Salyards, vice president of the Financial Intelligence Business at Harland Financial Solutions.
