Fundtech Revitalizes Optimist Youth Homes during its Client Insights Conference 2010
Fundtech's volunteer event mobilizes its clients and staff to help school for disadvantaged kids
During the annual Fundtech client Insights Conference, this year held in Santa Monica, CA, Fundtech (NASDAQ: FNDT) staff and their clients participated in a community service project at the Optimist Youth Homes and Family Services, a non-profit residential facility dedicated to providing education and support services to abused, neglected or at-risk children and their families. The scope of this years service project was to refurbish the common areas on the Optimist campus where students gather between classes and meet with their families. Fundtech volunteers, in conjunction with local volunteer organization L.A. Works, renovated outside seating areas, planted flowers and greenery around the campus and painted murals on walls around the grounds. Volunteers worked side-by-side with students and faculty and had the opportunity to talk with them about their experiences at the school.
According to George Ravich, Fundtech Chief Marketing Officer, Fundtech organizes and participates in community service projects all over the world. As a firm, we realize the importance and value of helping improve the communities in which we work. We were gratified by the amount of tangible improvements Fundtech employees and our clients were able to make to the campus in just one day of work.
Silvio Orlando, Executive Director at Optimist Youth Homes and Family Services said, It was a pleasure to host Fundtechs volunteers on our campus. Programs like ours, which endeavor to help shape and re-direct the lives of at-risk children and youth, truly rely on the support of the community, and especially on companies like Fundtech. Projects like Fundtechs allow us to refresh our campus and keep it beautiful, safe and inviting for our students and their families, which is invaluable to our continued outreach and success.
